The Opportunity: Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Technician
As a Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Technician at Artee Group, you will be a vital part of our facilities management team, ensuring the optimal functioning of our climate control and refrigeration systems across our extensive network. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can manage tasks efficiently, troubleshoot effectively, and maintain high standards of equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Order Management: Efficiently process and complete work orders, utilizing modern appsheet platforms to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- System Installation: Skillfully install new refrigeration systems, climate control units, and beverage equipment, adhering to blueprints and compliance schematics.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Proactively observe, test, and diagnose mechanical failures in refrigeration equipment, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine equipment maintenance, including replacing worn seals, outer shells, and motors, to extend the lifespan of our assets.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with store personnel to maintain accurate stock levels of necessary parts and components.
- Technical Advisory: Inform the Maintenance Manager of repair costs, suggest equipment upgrades, and advise on alternate cooling options to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For: Skills & Competencies
We are seeking a highly competent individual who combines technical proficiency with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills. To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Educational Background: A high school diploma or an equivalent relevant qualification recognized by the company.
- Experience: Proven previous experience as a Refrigeration Technician.
- Certifications: Valid HVAC certification is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in braising and soldering, with advanced mechanical and diagnostic capabilities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of local building codes and the ability to interpret refrigeration, building, and compliance schematics.
- Physical Aptitude: The ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and perform tasks in sub-zero environments when required.
