We are currently supporting our client, a leader in the fashion and manufacturing industry, in their search for a highly detail-oriented and quality-driven professional to join their Production team as a Quality Control Associate. This pivotal role serves as the ultimate guardian of product quality, ensuring that every single garment produced meets the company's stringent standards before reaching the market. If you possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for upholding excellence, this opportunity is for you.

The Opportunity: Be the Benchmark of Quality

As a Quality Control Associate, you will be the final checkpoint in a dynamic production environment. Your expertise will not only ensure product integrity but also contribute significantly to continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential defects, communicating issues proactively, and working collaboratively with production teams to refine processes and elevate overall quality.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Be Doing

  • Thorough Garment Inspection: Conduct meticulous inspections of garments at various stages of production, evaluating stitching, finishing, sizing, and overall construction to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Defect Identification & Reporting: Precisely identify and report any defects, including fabric damage, inconsistent dye patterns, incorrect trims, poor workmanship, or missing labels, maintaining a high standard of observation.
  • Dye Consistency Monitoring: Monitor dyed fabrics diligently to ensure complete consistency with approved colour and pattern standards, critical for brand identity and customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive Communication: Promptly communicate all identified quality issues to the dye and production teams, facilitating rapid correction and minimizing production delays.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all quality checks, identified defects, and inspection outcomes, forming the basis for quality analysis.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and share regular, insightful reports highlighting recurring quality issues, production trends, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Constructive Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback to tailors, dyers, and production staff to address quality concerns effectively and support skill enhancement.
  • Troubleshooting & Prevention: Actively support troubleshooting efforts and recommend practical solutions to prevent the recurrence of defects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Final Quality Assurance: Perform final checks to ensure all garments are impeccably pressed, correctly labelled, and packaged according to brand standards, ready for market.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the production line to boost efficiency and elevate product quality consistently.
  • Support Production Operations: Perform other related duties as required to ensure smooth and efficient overall production operations.

Who We're Looking For: Your Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of strong technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, HND, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of overall work experience, with at least 3 years specifically within a production role in a fashion or manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and highly developed observational skills are paramount.
  • Documentation Skills: Strong abilities in documentation and reporting, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all records.
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for clear interaction with all levels of staff.
  • Problem-Solving: Robust problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to diagnose issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Pressure Management: Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
