We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced QA/QC Engineer - Civil Buildings to join our dynamic team on-site in Nigeria.
Role Overview
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and quality control across our civil building construction projects in Nigeria. You will ensure that all construction activities strictly adhere to approved specifications, international standards, and project quality plans, safeguarding the structural integrity and aesthetic finishing of our builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) program for all civil building works.
- Conduct routine quality inspections and witness critical testing procedures on-site.
- Review and ensure compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and QA/QC documentation.
- Lodge inspection requests and coordinate with client representatives for quality sign-offs.
- Maintain comprehensive quality records, logs, and documentation as per project standards.
- Ensure all materials received and utilized on-site comply with approved project specifications.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in QA/QC roles focusing specifically on civil building projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in RCC works, block masonry, plastering, flooring, finishing, and general civil infrastructure works.
- In-depth knowledge of quality inspection techniques, material testing, ITPs, method statements, and comprehensive QA/QC documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant international construction quality standards and building codes.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
