Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the quality management system on-site, ensuring that materials, processes, and finished structures align with project guidelines. Core duties include:
- Implementing and maintaining robust QA/QC procedures, policies, and quality standards across all phases of the project.
- Conducting routine on-site inspections to verify compliance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
- Preparing, reviewing, and managing critical quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material test reports, and checklists.
- Monitoring construction activities actively to identify, document, and resolve quality issues through effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinating inspections and quality audits with third-party consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensuring all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and local regulatory standards.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and professional experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 4–5 years of hands-on QA/QC experience specifically within a reputable construction company.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of civil construction quality standards, materials testing, and inspection procedures.
- Drawing Interpretation: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, structural specifications, and blueprints.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD is considered a strong advantage.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Project Portfolio: Proven track record of working on major building or infrastructure projects.
- Certifications: A professional QA/QC or Quality Management certification will be highly advantageous.
