The Opportunity: Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer within our Engineering & Integrated Services Division, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects and operations. This position demands a professional with a robust background in project management, a keen eye for quality control, and a commitment to ensuring full compliance with industry standards, client expectations, and company objectives. You will be instrumental in delivering successful projects across the upstream value chain, contributing significantly to our operational excellence and revenue growth.

This role offers a competitive salary range of N1,000,000 - N1,200,000, reflecting the significance and impact of this position.

What You'll Do: Core Responsibilities

Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and lead the execution of diverse engineering projects and operations.
Define project parameters, assign responsibilities, and meticulously monitor the efficiency of project teams.
Lead CAD analysis, design reviews, and development processes for assigned projects.
Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders, effectively representing company interests on-site.
Monitor and ensure strict compliance with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, applicable codes, and project specifications.
Review critical deliverables such as Statements of Work (SOWs), CAD drawings, and design drawings, and meticulously prepare comprehensive project documentation.
Conduct essential site visits, scoping activities, and Cost-Time-Resource (CTR) alignment to provide robust support to our Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Proposal teams.
Support the Business Development (BD)/Sales team through engaging presentations and technical discussions with prospective clients.
Coordinate and mentor junior engineers and technical personnel, fostering their growth and ensuring excellence in project execution.
Champion company QHSE expectations, providing regular and accurate reporting on HSE performance.

Successful delivery of projects across upstream scopes, meeting all technical and functional requirements.
Adherence to project budgets and demonstration of exceptional cost efficiency, ensuring optimal value for money.
Achieving a record of zero project rework and no regulatory infractions.
Maintaining robust Health & Safety compliance, evidenced by positive audit reports.
Contributing to a high employee satisfaction score within your team (minimum 80%).
Direct contribution to revenue growth through successful project execution and client satisfaction.

What We Are Looking For: Your Profile

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (mandatory).
Project Management Training with verifiable proof (mandatory).
PMP certification (advantageous).
MBA/MSc (an added advantage).
NSE/COREN Membership (a competitive advantage).
ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 training (advantageous).

Experience:

8–10 years’ work experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with at least 6 years specifically in construction project management.
Proven expertise in both project and operations management.
Demonstrable experience in facility/equipment maintenance processes.

Knowledge & Skills:

Strong command of project management methodologies and sharp commercial acumen.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and expert interpretation of P&ID, Isometrics, Plot Plans, and GADs.
Competence in MS Project and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability and adaptability.
Possession of high ethical standards, unwavering confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.
Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
