The Opportunity: Project Development Leader
As a Project Development Leader, you will be the architect of strategic coordination, seamlessly integrating multiple product lines and cross-functional teams to solidify Baker Hughes' leadership in Mature Asset Solutions. This role demands a visionary who can establish and execute a field management plan that delivers unparalleled value to both operators and service providers. You will serve as the central nexus, aligning subsurface and surface field development principles with Integrated Solutions across our Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) and Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segments. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting winning strategies for mature asset development projects, ensuring operational excellence, flawless collaboration, and successful project acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Value Generation: Driving a field development approach that creates mutual value for operators and service providers within defined contractual frameworks.
- Integrated Solutions Leadership: Expertly integrating engineering disciplines – from subsurface to surface – with diverse product lines, key functional teams (sales, commercial, operations, finance), and third-party partners to deliver truly unified client solutions.
- Project Acquisition & Growth: Developing and executing strategies to secure high-value field management and integrated solutions projects that align with Baker Hughes' long-term strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Building and nurturing robust relationships with clients, external partners, internal teams, and executive leadership to ensure collaborative success and project achievement.
- Team Leadership & Development: Leading, mentoring, and inspiring cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous innovation, and ongoing improvement.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying risks associated with integration and project delivery, developing robust mitigation plans to ensure all project objectives are met.
- Process Enhancement: Establishing and refining processes that streamline integration efforts, significantly enhance efficiency, and support scalable growth across operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing effective reporting mechanisms to monitor progress, measure success, and drive continuous improvement across all integrated functions, while staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Who We're Looking For
To thrive in this challenging yet rewarding position, you will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Geosciences, Engineering, or a closely related field (a Master’s Degree is preferred).
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in development support and over 10 years in asset management specifically with oil and gas E&P operators.
- Demonstrated strong project management experience, evidenced by a proven track record of successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams and securing complex projects.
- Extensive experience integrating multiple product lines or business functions within a large, complex organization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in widely recognized project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
