Product Manager: Finfra

Ever felt like health insurance dictates your life, rather than adapting to it? At Thatch, we're turning that idea on its head. We believe everyone deserves the freedom to choose healthcare that genuinely fits their unique needs, not just a plan handed down from above. We're building the future where companies empower their teams with real healthcare budgets, giving employees unmatched flexibility and employers predictable costs. This is no small feat. It requires innovative solutions at the intersection of healthcare, payments, and cutting-edge technology. As our Product Manager specializing in "Finfra," you will architect the critical financial infrastructure that underpins this revolutionary approach, making real impact for people all over the world.

Overview

Thatch is seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Product Manager for Finfra to join our fully remote team. This is a worldwide opportunity, meaning you can contribute from wherever you thrive. You'll be instrumental in defining, developing, and launching the financial technology products that power our unique healthcare budget platform. Your work will directly enable employees to manage their healthcare spending seamlessly and empower employers with robust financial controls. This role demands someone who embraces complex challenges and takes genuine ownership in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the product lifecycle for financial infrastructure features, from discovery and ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable product specifications and user stories for engineering teams.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure the development of secure, scalable, and compliant financial systems.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of payment processing, ledger management, billing, and reconciliation systems.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial products, using data to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Research market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes in FinTech and healthcare payments to inform product strategy.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring our financial products are intuitive and reliable for all users.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, with a strong focus on financial technology (FinTech), payments, or banking products.
  • A deep understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and payment processing flows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex product backlogs and prioritize features effectively.
  • Experience working with engineering teams in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed decisions with incomplete information.
  • A passion for improving healthcare and a desire to build products that make a real difference in people's lives.
  • Experience in a remote work setting is a plus.

What You'll Gain

  • The chance to shape the future of healthcare benefits with a truly innovative product.
  • A collaborative and supportive remote-first culture that values autonomy and impact.
  • Opportunity to solve deeply complex problems across healthcare, finance, and technology.
  • Work alongside a team of driven, thoughtful individuals who are passionate about their mission.
  • Significant ownership and responsibility in a fast-growing company.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
