The Role
As a Process Engineer, you will be at the heart of AIG’s manufacturing excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring that steel production processes are not only safe and efficient but also cost-effective. Your analytical skills will be pivotal in driving productivity and ensuring the highest standards of product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize steel manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.
- Analyze production data and process parameters to drive improvements in yield and quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies and implement proactive solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, and Metallurgical teams.
- Track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, scrap rate, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Support the commissioning and modification of production equipment to ensure continuous operational excellence.
- Maintain strict adherence to HSE policies and industry quality standards.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an engineering capacity.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the steel manufacturing or heavy engineering sector is highly preferred.
