Join Mural as our Principal, User Researcher and become a pivotal force in how we define and build tomorrow's collaboration tools. Key Responsibilities

Build a New Practice: Establish and lead Mural's foundational UX research practice, defining methodologies and best practices from the ground up.
Drive Strategic Insight: Conduct deep, human centered research to uncover evolving user needs, identify new opportunity spaces, and inform our product, design, and company wide strategy.
Cross Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with leaders across product, design, sales, marketing, and strategy to translate complex research findings into actionable insights that drive innovation.
Shape Our Future: Guide the organization toward long term innovation by clarifying critical user challenges and opportunities that will define Mural’s next generation of experiences.
Scale the Discipline: Contribute to scaling the UXR discipline by mentoring designers and other team members, empowering them to confidently conduct tactical usability studies and embrace a research mindset.

Requirements

Extensive Experience: Proven track record with significant years of experience leading strategic and foundational user research within a product led technology company.
Research Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including ethnographic studies, in depth interviews, usability testing, and survey design.
Strategic Impact: Ability to translate complex research findings into clear, compelling narratives that directly influence product roadmaps and business strategy.
Collaborative Leadership: Experience partnering effectively with senior stakeholders across various departments, building consensus and advocating for user needs.
Mentorship Skills: Eagerness and ability to mentor and develop others in research practices, fostering a research informed culture.
