Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement robust, scalable AI infrastructure and services across our fullstack and backend systems.
Lead the design and development of innovative AI solutions that directly enhance patient care workflows, from initial intake to ongoing treatment.
Drive the adoption of best practices for AI development, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Collaborate closely with product, data science, and other engineering teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and deliver impactful features.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the Applied AI team.
Evaluate new AI technologies and methodologies, recommending strategies for their strategic application within our platform.
Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for AI at Hims & Hers, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Requirements

Extensive professional experience as a Principal or Staff level engineer, with a strong emphasis on fullstack or backend development.
Proven expertise in applying AI or Machine Learning to solve real-world problems, preferably in a consumer-facing or healthcare context.
Demonstrated ability to architect complex, high-performance distributed systems using modern programming languages and cloud platforms.
Deep understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices for building scalable, maintainable codebases.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering impactful technical solutions from concept to production.
Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences and influencing strategic decisions.
