Overview

As our Pre-Reg Pre-Cert Supervisor, you will play a vital role in upholding our health system's standards for patient access and revenue cycle integrity. This is a fully remote, full time position, open to candidates worldwide. You will oversee our dedicated pre-registration and pre-certification staff, ensuring all health system policies and practices are meticulously followed. Your leadership will be key to monitoring employee workflow and performance, fostering an environment where productivity, quality, and outstanding customer service are consistently met. This role involves significant collaboration with department managers and various departments across the health system, all while strongly supporting and adhering to the University of Kansas Health System's Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the comprehensive pre-registration and pre-certification functions, ensuring the utmost accuracy in demographic and insurance information for all patients.
Possess and apply detailed, expert knowledge of registration, pre-registration, and pre-certification processes. This enables you to provide essential oversight and step in to assist with workload during staffing shortages or high-demand periods.
Provide crucial relief coverage during planned or unexpected absences of other supervisors across all shifts when such assistance is requested.
Demonstrate a complete understanding of department standards and goals, guiding your team towards achieving and exceeding these benchmarks.
Monitor and evaluate staff productivity, quality assurance, and adherence to customer service protocols, ensuring departmental standards are consistently met.
Provide clear direction, mentorship, and effective leadership to your team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within pre-registration, registration, or pre-certification functions.
A deep and thorough understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and health system policies.
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, mentor, and manage employee performance and workflow.
Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
