Overview

Have you ever wanted to bridge the gap between advanced theoretical physics and artificial intelligence? At micro1, we are looking for brilliant minds to join our frontier research initiative. This is your chance to use your deep knowledge of condensed matter and quantum information to help train the next generation of AI models. You do not need any background in machine learning to succeed here because your pure domain expertise is what truly drives this project. This is a fully remote, worldwide contracting opportunity that lets you work from anywhere on the planet while making a massive impact on the future of technology.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and analyze exact diagonalization implementations using QuSpin, focusing heavily on translation and reflection symmetries for system sizes of L greater than or equal to 26.
Construct and manipulate block-diagonalized subspaces for complex quantum systems to optimize both computational efficiency and overall fidelity.
Evaluate overlaps with Z2 states and interpret the resulting physical insights within the framework of constrained quantum dynamics.
Draft comprehensive written feedback, detailed analytic reports, and rigorous assessments for specialized research benchmarks.

Requirements

Advanced academic background or professional expertise in physics, specifically focusing on condensed matter or quantum information.
Hands-on experience with exact diagonalization techniques and Python libraries such as QuSpin.
Deep understanding of theoretical concepts including the PXP model, Rydberg blockade, and quantum many-body scars.
Strong analytical writing skills to articulate complex physical insights clearly.

What You'll Gain

Flexible remote work arrangement enabling you to collaborate with top tier talent globally.
The opportunity to pioneer the intersection of quantum physics and artificial intelligence.
Competitive compensation for your specialized academic and technical insights.
