Overview
Have you ever wanted to teach artificial intelligence the nuances of advanced physics? micro1 is teaming up with a groundbreaking research project and we need brilliant minds in atomic, molecular, and optical physics and quantum information. You do not need any background in machine learning. Your actual domain expertise is what will shape how next-generation AI systems learn and reason. This is a fully remote role open to contributors worldwide, offering flexible contractor assignments where you can work as a Solver, Auditor, or Adjudicator based on your specific subfield and hands-on skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and model cascaded optical parametric amplifiers alongside SU(1,1) interferometric systems while factoring in realistic loss mechanisms.
- Utilize Bogoliubov transformations and covariance-matrix techniques to accurately quantify quantum correlations and noise properties.
- Contribute high-quality, real-world inputs and benchmarking concepts that directly train cutting-edge AI models.
Requirements
- Advanced academic background or deep professional expertise in AMO physics or quantum information.
- Hands-on familiarity with quantum optics, specifically cascaded optical parametric amplifiers and SU(1,1) interferometers.
- Strong command of analytical methods including Bogoliubov transformations and covariance-matrix techniques.
What You'll Gain
- Direct involvement in pioneering projects at the intersection of quantum physics and artificial intelligence.
- Flexible remote work arrangement allowing you to collaborate from anywhere in the world on a contractor basis.
- The chance to apply your specialized academic knowledge to real-world technological breakthroughs.
