Key Responsibilities

Apply sound engineering concepts to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs.
Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring reusability and maintainability across our platforms.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Optimize existing systems for improved performance, reliability, and security.
Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth product operation.
Contribute to architectural discussions and technology choices, helping to evolve our backend stack.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Backend Developer, ideally in a product-focused company.
Solid proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
A firm grasp of version control systems, especially Git.
Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
