We are partnering with Covista to find an inspiring Pathophysiology Visiting Professor to join our esteemed faculty on a part time, fully remote basis. This is a truly global opportunity, welcoming applications from anywhere in the world. You will play a crucial role in empowering students with foundational medical knowledge, preparing them to excel in diverse healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on pathophysiology concepts to diverse student populations.
  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
  • Facilitate interactive discussions and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Evaluate student performance through grading assignments, exams, and other assessments, adhering to established rubrics and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades and attendance.
  • Hold virtual office hours to provide individualized support and mentorship to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development as needed.
  • Stay current with advancements in pathophysiology and incorporate relevant updates into teaching practices.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant health science field (e.g., PhD, DNP, MD, DO).
  • Significant academic and/or clinical experience in pathophysiology.
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably in an online or hybrid format.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering high-quality educational content.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technological proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • A commitment to student success and the Chamberlain Care® philosophy.
  • Must possess the necessary technical setup for a remote work environment, including reliable internet access and a suitable workspace.
