You will play a crucial role in empowering students with foundational medical knowledge, preparing them to excel in diverse healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on pathophysiology concepts to diverse student populations.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
- Facilitate interactive discussions and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
- Evaluate student performance through grading assignments, exams, and other assessments, adhering to established rubrics and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades and attendance.
- Hold virtual office hours to provide individualized support and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in pathophysiology and incorporate relevant updates into teaching practices.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a relevant health science field (e.g., PhD, DNP, MD, DO).
- Significant academic and/or clinical experience in pathophysiology.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably in an online or hybrid format.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering high-quality educational content.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technological proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
