This critical part-time position is entirely remote, giving you the freedom to work from virtually anywhere in the world. You will deliver essential telepharmacy services, playing a vital role in enhancing clinical team performance, supporting top-tier patient care, and upholding compliant medication practices. The role involves evenings, overnight, and on-call shifts, including weekends. We expect our team members to commit to at least 1-2 shifts every two weeks. We offer multiple shift options, which can be discussed during your interview.

Key Responsibilities

Telepharmacy Expertise: Provide comprehensive remote pharmacy services, expertly handling order entry, medication verification, and thorough drug verification. You will also offer essential counseling to patients and staff, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Multi-Client Support: Seamlessly support a diverse portfolio of hospital clients, adapting efficiently to various pharmacy information systems (PIS) to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
Clinical Excellence: Proactively deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services, strictly adhering to both client-specific protocols and The Cigna Group's robust policies. You will provide critical drug information and therapeutic recommendations, including precise dosing adjustments, interaction assessments, compatibility checks, and clear infusion guidance.
Comprehensive Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date and practical understanding of a wide range of medications and treatments. This includes IV fluids, Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), narcotic and cardiac drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and other specialized therapies.
Patient-Centric Approach: Demonstrate a deep understanding of unique considerations for special patient populations. This includes pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients, ensuring tailored and safe medication practices for everyone.

Requirements

Licensed Pharmacist: Hold an active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in at least one US state. Eligibility for additional state licenses will be a significant advantage.
Clinical Experience: Possess proven experience as a Staff Pharmacist, ideally within an inpatient or hospital setting.
Remote Readiness: Demonstrate strong capability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment, managing time and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Technical Proficiency: Exhibit comfort and competence with various pharmacy information systems and remote communication tools.
Exceptional Communication: Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and empathetic interactions with diverse healthcare professionals and patients.
Flexible Availability: Willingness and ability to reliably work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts, fulfilling the minimum commitment of 1-2 shifts every two weeks.
