Overview

Miratech is a global IT services and consulting company, and we're significantly expanding our innovative Workforce Management (WFM) product stream. This is a crucial role for an Operations Research Engineer who will apply their deep expertise in mathematical optimization, algorithm design, and software engineering. You will solve complex workforce planning problems across large-scale contact center environments, directly impacting operational efficiency and customer experience worldwide. This is a fully remote position, open to talented professionals globally, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop advanced optimization models for contact center workforce planning, scheduling, and dynamic resource allocation.
Design and implement the core schedule optimization engine, primarily utilizing tools such as OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
Take ownership of the entire constraint model lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and refinement.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Workforce Management domain experts, Architects, and various Engineering teams.
Transform intricate business requirements into practical, robust optimization models and production-grade optimization services.
Contribute to the development of sophisticated solutions for staffing, coverage management, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Continuously evaluate and integrate new optimization techniques, algorithms, and technologies to maintain a leading-edge product.
Ensure the scalability, performance, and maintainability of all developed optimization solutions.

Requirements

Strong expertise in operations research, mathematical optimization, and algorithm design principles.
Proficiency in constraint programming, with hands-on experience using libraries like OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
A solid background in mathematics relevant to optimization, including linear programming, integer programming, and combinatorial optimization.
Demonstrated experience in software engineering, capable of building, testing, and deploying production-grade systems.
Proven ability to research, design, and implement complex optimization models for real-world, large-scale problems.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a highly analytical mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, enabling effective teamwork across diverse, remote teams.
Prior experience in workforce management or contact center environments is a significant advantage.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
