micro1 seeks highly skilled Senior Software Engineers for a unique contractor role as an Open Source GitHub Maintainer. This fully remote, worldwide position offers you the chance to support a customer's innovative project, applying your expertise to train advanced AI systems. You will play a crucial part in defining how models learn, reason, and perform by providing high-quality, real-world input. While prior AI experience isn't necessary, your robust domain knowledge and experience in open source contributions are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

Meticulously evaluate code patches generated by Large Language Models (LLMs), offering comprehensive and constructive feedback for each submission.
Provide clear, well-reasoned written justifications to support all your assessments and suggestions.
Actively participate in peer reviews, scrutinizing work submitted by fellow subject-matter experts to ensure consistency and quality.
Apply your deep software engineering knowledge to maintain the integrity and quality of the assigned repository or repositories.

Requirements

Demonstrable strong open source contributions and a robust online profile, such as on GitHub or GitLab, showcasing your work.
Proven experience maintaining an open source repository.
Solid background in reviewing code from various contributors, providing insightful feedback.
A senior level of expertise in software engineering. Your domain knowledge is key.
Ability to work independently as a contractor for approximately 15 hours per week.
