Overview

GDIT is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Network Manager to spearhead our general Network Engineering organization. This critical leadership role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including traditional routing and switching, sophisticated cloud networking, robust enterprise network security, crucial visibility tools, and modern operational practices. We are looking for a proven leader, both technically skilled and a natural people manager, someone eager to innovate and drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a comprehensive Network Engineering team, guiding their development and performance.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network solutions, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
Drive strategy and execution for cloud networking initiatives, specifically leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.
Enhance and secure the enterprise network infrastructure, addressing evolving threat landscapes.
Develop and implement robust network visibility and monitoring solutions.
Champion modern network operations practices, fostering efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with overall business objectives.
Provide expert network troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Requirements

US Citizenship is required for this position.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a related field.
Strong background in enterprise network design and implementation.
Demonstrated expertise with Cisco networking technologies.
Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud networking.
Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
Excellent network troubleshooting skills.
While no specific certifications are required, a commitment to continuous learning and professional development is highly valued.
Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
