Overview

Centorrino Technologies (CT) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Network Engineer to enhance our dynamic, globally distributed team. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, meaning you can contribute your expertise from wherever you are. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our critical network infrastructure, especially within highly secure government environments. Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and expertly resolve business as usual (BAU) tickets related to network issues. This includes addressing problems across switching, routing, and application-level firewall controls with precision.
Operate within secure government environments, strictly adhering to access controls, compliance standards, and rigorous change management processes. Security and compliance are paramount in this role.
Manage BGP routing configurations and adeptly troubleshoot peering issues. Your work will ensure network stability and optimal path selection for seamless operations.
Monitor and meticulously maintain IPsec tunnels to provide secure site-to-site connectivity. You will proactively address concerns regarding encryption, authentication, and overall tunnel stability.
Swiftly respond to incidents escalated by our service desk team. This involves conducting detailed analysis and providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime and impact.
Implement network changes following established protocols and best practices, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum effectiveness.
Collaborate with other technical teams to design, implement, and optimize network solutions that support our evolving infrastructure needs.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Network Engineer, demonstrating a strong grasp of networking fundamentals.
Extensive hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues across various layers.
Deep understanding of routing protocols, especially BGP, and experience managing multi-site network environments.
Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, including application-level controls. Experience with major vendor products is a plus.
Solid experience with IPsec VPNs, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting secure tunnels.
Familiarity with working in secure, compliance-driven environments, ideally within government or similarly regulated sectors.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical documentation, client interaction, and internal collaboration.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to identifying and rectifying network faults.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE) are highly regarded.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team setting.
