Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation & Management: Operate and manage various heavy mining equipment, including but not limited to rock drills, continuous miners, and massive haulage trucks, ensuring their safe and efficient use in daily operations.
- Site Maintenance & Support: Actively assist in the maintenance of equipment, contribute to keeping work areas clear by removing loose rock and debris, and efficiently load and stack materials as required to support mining activities.
- Blasting Preparation: Handle and accurately position explosive materials, and prepare blast holes with utmost precision and adherence to safety protocols to facilitate the safe extraction of minerals.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure strict and unwavering compliance with all prevailing mining laws, environmental regulations, and company policies, contributing to responsible and sustainable mining practices.
- Site Security: Play a vital role in protecting mining sites, personnel, and valuable assets from potential threats such as theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, maintaining a secure working environment.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Candidates should possess a First School Leaving Certificate, SSCE/GCE/NECO, OND, or NCE.
- Physical & Aptitude Requirements: Demonstrable physical fitness, significant stamina, and a basic mechanical aptitude are absolutely essential for success in this demanding role.
- Experience: While not strictly mandatory, previous working experience or on-site working experience within a related industrial or mining environment will be considered a significant advantage.
