Overview

As Medical Director, you will play a pivotal part in directing and coordinating key medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing functions within our business unit. Collaborating closely with the Chief Medical Director, you will provide essential medical leadership for utilization management, cost containment, and medical quality improvement activities, ensuring our members receive optimal care. This position is fully remote, welcoming applications from qualified professionals globally who meet our specific licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical leadership across all utilization management, cost containment, and medical quality improvement activities.
Perform in-depth medical review activities focusing on utilization review, quality assurance, and the evaluation of complex, controversial, or experimental medical services, ensuring decisions are both timely and of high quality.
Support the effective implementation of performance improvement initiatives specifically designed for capitated providers.
Assist the Chief Medical Director in strategizing and establishing goals and policies aimed at enhancing the quality and cost-effectiveness of care and services for our members.
Offer expert medical guidance in the operation of approved quality improvement and utilization management programs, guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory, state, corporate, and accreditation requirements.
Support the Chief Medical Director in managing the physician committees, including their structure, operational processes, and member participation.

Requirements

Must be a Board Certified Physician.
Current licensure in the state of Arizona is essential for this role.
