The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM), you will play a pivotal role in the operational success of our mining activities. You will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance, development, and analysis of heavy equipment, ensuring that our operations continue to set industry benchmarks for efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and oversee mechanical maintenance protocols safely and efficiently within the Mines.
Manage the maintenance schedule for all Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.
Provide mentorship and training to subordinates to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Plan spare parts requirements to minimize operational downtime.
Uphold strict compliance with ISO standards (ISO 19001-2015, ISO 14001-2015, and ISO 45001-2018).
Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

A Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven professional experience in a mechanical engineering capacity, specifically with heavy equipment.
Deep technical knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, and materials science.
Proficiency in CAD software and advanced analytical tools.
Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
