In this exciting role, your primary objective will be to drive growth by increasing the number of customers sending goods from Ibadan and its surrounding areas to the United Kingdom. Key Responsibilities

Actively identify and attract new customers sending goods from Nigeria to the UK.
Promote FreighTech Connect's UK cargo shipping services across Ibadan.
Visit and build relationships with potential customers, traders, businesses, students, families, and other relevant groups.
Generate leads through social media, WhatsApp, referrals, networking, and direct marketing.
Create and distribute engaging adverts for the company's cargo services.
Manage and grow the branch's social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Respond to customer enquiries and convert them into confirmed shipments.
Follow up with previous customers to encourage repeat shipments and develop referral opportunities.
Monitor competitors and identify new opportunities to expand our customer base.
Maintain accurate records of leads, enquiries, customers, and bookings, providing weekly reports to management.
Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless collection, packing, shipping, and delivery experiences.

Person Specification & Expectations

We are seeking someone who is confident, outgoing, and comfortable initiating conversations with new customers. Ideal candidates will possess:

Proven experience in sales, marketing, customer acquisition, or business development.
Strong digital literacy, with the ability to use social media effectively and create simple marketing content (flyers, videos, posts).
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay highly organized.
Previous experience in cargo, logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or travel-related sectors (an added advantage).

Please note: This is a proactive, customer acquisition-focused role. You will not just be posting ads online; you will be expected to actively hunt for customers, generate and nurture leads, and consistently convert them into paying cargo clients. Performance will be evaluated based on metrics such as new customer acquisition, booking volume, repeat business, and overall revenue generated.
