Key Responsibilities

As Market Medical Director, you will combine your clinical expertise with strong leadership to make a significant impact. Your daily work will involve a rich blend of patient care, team development, and strategic health initiatives, such as:

Provide direct, compassionate primary and preventive care to older adults, focusing on building lasting patient relationships.
Offer expert physician leadership and clinical oversight across an assigned market, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Drive population health initiatives, working to improve health outcomes for the entire community of older adults under your care.
Mentor and support a high-performing clinical team, including Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Patient Advocate/Liaisons, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Collaborate closely with Operations leaders to ensure seamless, coordinated care delivery and operational excellence.
Champion value-based care principles, identifying opportunities to enhance patient independence and well-being.
Participate in strategic planning and development, contributing to Matter Health's national expansion and innovative care models.

Requirements

To thrive in this critical role, you will bring a specific set of qualifications and experiences. We are looking for candidates who possess:

Medical Doctor (MD or DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related primary care specialty.
Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one US state (or ability to obtain).
Demonstrable experience in direct patient care, particularly with older adult populations.
Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting, with a strong ability to mentor and guide healthcare teams.
Deep understanding and passion for value-based care models and population health management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
