As our Manager, Technical Accounting, you will serve as Liftoff's internal expert for all things technical accounting. Key Responsibilities

Serve as Liftoff’s primary authority on technical accounting matters, providing crucial guidance and expertise.
Draft and rigorously review detailed technical accounting memos, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to evolving standards.
Develop and implement accounting policies that accurately reflect complex business transactions and strategic initiatives.
Guarantee that our financial statements precisely account for intricate and often novel transactions, upholding the highest standards of financial reporting.
Engage directly with some of the most challenging and innovative accounting problems unique to our industry and growth trajectory.
Navigate scenarios where established accounting precedents are scarce, requiring creative problem-solving and a forward-thinking approach.
Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to understand new business models and products, advising on their accounting implications.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is essential.
Possession of a CPA license is a strong requirement.
You will need at least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a significant focus on technical accounting, preferably within a Big 4 public accounting firm or a similar technical accounting role in a complex, fast-growing company.
Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP and a solid understanding of IFRS principles given our global operations.
Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply complex accounting standards to unique business transactions.
Exceptional analytical skills and a talent for dissecting intricate financial scenarios.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for drafting clear, concise technical memos and communicating complex concepts.
A proactive mindset, comfortable operating in an environment where clear precedents may not always exist.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fully remote, global team setting.
