Overview

As the Manager, IT Service for Software Asset Management at Centene, you will provide pivotal leadership and strategic direction for our IT service operations. This role involves overseeing crucial enterprise system and event management tools while also spearheading ITSM strategies. A key part of your mission will be to lead our dedicated enterprise Software Asset Management team, ensuring robust governance, optimal utilization, and lifecycle management for all our software assets. You'll work closely with various departments to make informed decisions that drive efficiency and maintain compliance across our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Guide the strategic planning and development of Centene's IT service operations.
Supervise major enterprise system and event management tools, ensuring their effective maintenance.
Drive ITSM strategies, working closely with disaster recovery and business continuity teams.
Establish and implement performance standards to enhance the ITSM team's reliability and operational excellence.
Lead and mentor the enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) team.
Manage comprehensive software license governance, focusing on optimization, compliance, and full lifecycle management.
Generate and present critical reporting related to software assets and operational delivery.
Collaborate strategically with Procurement, Finance, Legal, various technology teams, software owners, and executive leadership.
Leverage tools like Flexera to inform decisions, facilitate timely renewals, prepare for audits, and identify cost saving opportunities.

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in IT service operations.
Strong background in Software Asset Management (SAM), including license governance, optimization, and compliance.
Familiarity with enterprise system management and event management tools.
Experience with ITSM strategies and collaboration with disaster recovery and business continuity teams.
Proficiency with SAM tools, specifically Flexera.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing employment based visa sponsorship.
