As our Manager of Engineering for the Catalog team, you will step into a pivotal player-coach position. You get to lead a lean, highly senior group of builders while rolling up your sleeves to write code every single week. This is a fully remote position that you can perform from anywhere in the world, giving you the freedom to do your best work without borders. You will not just manage delivery; you will actively pioneer our new AI-native software development lifecycle practices and set the technical standard for the entire company.

Key Responsibilities

Own sprint planning, manage delivery commitments, and run productive retrospectives for the Catalog engineering squad.
Carry an active individual contributor workload by writing, reviewing, and shipping full-stack production code weekly using advanced AI-assisted tooling.
Collaborate closely with the Principal Engineer of Catalog to define our architectural direction and map out the platform roadmap.
Attract, hire, and onboard top-tier engineering talent while enforcing a strict AI-native competency bar during interviews.
Coordinate seamlessly with product managers and designers to drive feature delivery across our full-stack codebase.

Requirements

Proven experience leading engineering teams while maintaining hands-on coding capabilities in a full-stack environment.
Deep familiarity with modern web technologies, scalable architectures, and cloud infrastructure.
Enthusiasm for adopting and championing AI-assisted development workflows and next-generation engineering tools.
Strong communication skills with a track record of partnering successfully with product, design, and principal engineering peers.
A passion for mentoring mid-level and senior engineers, helping them level up their technical capabilities.
