About the Role: Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical
As the Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical, you will be instrumental in overseeing all electrical maintenance activities at our power plant in Victoria Island. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems and equipment, directly contributing to maximizing plant availability, reliability, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning and supervising daily electrical maintenance activities to meet stringent operational and contractual targets.
- Ensuring optimal plant reliability and availability, aligning with contractual commitments.
- Proactively managing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Coordinating effectively with the Parts Coordination Management team for spare parts planning and follow-up.
- Upholding the highest standards of HSE, adhering strictly to safe work practices and company procedures.
- Leading all electrical maintenance activities, from routine tasks to major overhauls and complex troubleshooting.
- Providing essential support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and managing operational disturbances efficiently.
- Maintaining meticulous maintenance records, detailed reports, and all necessary safety documentation.
- Ensuring the ready availability of tools, critical spare parts, and adequate maintenance resources.
- Applying advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques to swiftly resolve plant issues.
- Fostering effective communication with all stakeholders and actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager to support overall plant operations.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong educational background and proven experience in the power generation sector:
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng. or B.Tech.) is required.
- 5–8 years of relevant hands-on experience in Gas or HFO Engine Power Plants.
- Prior experience with PLCs, control systems, and power plant automation is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of WECS and UNIC systems, alongside Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies, is highly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Profound knowledge of electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing both preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation, and electrical protection systems.
- A solid understanding of HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical drawings and technical manuals.
- Competence in utilizing CMMS/maintenance systems and MS Office Suite.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- The ability to perform effectively under pressure and expertly manage multiple priorities.
