Job Summary

As the Hotel Maintenance Personnel, you will play a vital role in keeping our facilities, equipment, and utility systems operating seamlessly. Your main objective is to perform preventive maintenance, execute swift repairs, conduct regular inspections, and respond proactively to maintenance needs. Your work will directly impact guest satisfaction, safety, and the overall hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following daily and periodic operations:

• Conduct routine, thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, facilities, and physical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations, plumbing, HVAC (Air Conditioning), and mechanical systems.
• Swiftly repair faulty appliances, furniture, fixtures, doors, windows, and locks.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests escalated by guests or other hotel departments.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve technical issues efficiently to avoid downtime.
• Monitor and maintain heavy utility equipment, including the water supply system and backup power generators.
• Replace depleted light bulbs, repair electrical sockets, switches, and resolve minor wiring faults.
• Assist in general facility upkeep, including minor painting, carpentry, tiling, and other handyman tasks.
• Keep organized logs, maintenance records, and documentation of all completed tasks.
• Adhere strictly to standard health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and report major equipment failures or structural issues that require external specialist attention or management action.
• Safeguard, maintain, and properly store all hotel tools and technical equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• A minimum of SSCE / OND, Trade Test Certificate, or a relevant technical vocational qualification.
• Prior hands-on experience in hotel, residential, or commercial facility maintenance is highly advantageous.
• Strong basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• The ability to handle maintenance tools, diagnostic instruments, and machinery safely.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact pleasantly with guests and staff.
• Excellent physical fitness and the agility required to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational demands.
