Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the seamless operation of our 28-room property. You will be responsible for the preventive and reactive maintenance of our electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and functional stay. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plumbing Maintenance: Proactively manage water systems, address leaks, and perform drain maintenance.
- Electrical Maintenance: Maintain and repair lighting systems, power outlets, generators, and essential hotel equipment.
- AC & HVAC: Conduct routine servicing and checks on air conditioning units to ensure optimal climate control for guest rooms and common areas.
- General Repairs: Handle miscellaneous tasks including furniture, door, and lock repairs, ensuring prompt attention to guest requests.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor fire safety systems and perform regular building inspections, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping and front office teams to ensure the property is always guest-ready.
Requirements
- Trade certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or a closely related technical field.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of modern safety protocols.
- Proximity: Candidates residing in or near the Ogba, Ikeja, Ojota, Agege, Ketu, Ojodu Berger, or Akute axis are highly preferred.
