As a Legal Research Specialist, you will play a pivotal contract role in refining the accuracy and relevance of our AI agents' legal output. This is a unique, fully remote opportunity, open to talent worldwide, offering competitive compensation between $70 and $120 per hour for your valuable contributions.

Key Responsibilities

Meticulously review and quality assure AI agent rollouts, verifying their answers against actual dockets to ensure impeccable accuracy in case details and outcomes.
Proactively identify potential failure modes by closely analyzing agent performance and promptly flagging tasks that prove either too simplistic or solvable without the need for PACER.
Actively improve the realism and overall difficulty of research tasks, ensuring they authentically mirror federal docket research challenges for highly capable AI agents.
Regularly update and refine grading guidance to maintain accuracy, specifically focusing on identifying correct answers and pinpointing errors, for instance, a misread procedural posture.
Catch those subtly plausible but ultimately incorrect answers that might easily escape the notice of non-expert reviewers, safeguarding the integrity of our AI's information.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following critical qualifications:

Frequent Hands-On PACER/CM/ECF Use: You must have current or very recent experience utilizing PACER and CM/ECF for federal docket research on a weekly basis, or even more frequently.
Federal Litigation Support Expertise: A minimum of two years of dedicated experience in federal litigation support is essential. This could be in a role such as a litigation paralegal or similar capacity.
