As a Legal Domain Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the absolute accuracy and integrity of legal information underpinning complex AI models. This is a fully remote contract position offering a highly competitive compensation package ranging from $76 to $120 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Meticulously confirm the validity of every cited case, statute, and regulation, ensuring it remains good law. You will expertly identify any negative Shepard's treatment.
You will be responsible for identifying non-existent or inaccurately described cases, meticulously verifying all quotes, holdings, and pinpoint citations.
Your sharp judgment will ensure the completeness of research, confirming all controlling authority is present and no on-point cases are overlooked. This includes maintaining precise distinctions for 50-state and multi-jurisdictional splits.
Guarantee currency by cross-referencing the version of the law in force on the operative date.
Clearly differentiate between binding and persuasive authority, adhering to a strict verify before finalize protocol.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

Consistent and frequent use of Lexis+, at least weekly, for substantive legal research in your current or recent professional capacity.
A minimum of two years of professional legal research experience.
A natural, almost reflexive ability to use Shepard's or KeyCite. You possess a keen eye for spotting bad cites or misstated holdings.
