Overview

As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with talented professionals spread across multiple states. While our roots are in California, our impact reaches coast to coast, including three major ongoing projects right now in Oregon. You will use your deep understanding of forestry and ecology to guide our project work, help shape national initiatives, and mentor team members who are eager to learn from your experience.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the lead forester and forest ecologist on diverse projects spanning several states.
Lead and organize hands on field data collection alongside your peers and write comprehensive reports.
Partner with internal team members to spot new client relationships and project opportunities across the country.
Provide expert advice on forest planning, NEPA analysis, and sensitive resource evaluations on federal lands.

Requirements

Demonstrated success in forestry, ecology, or technical writing with a strong portfolio of biological reports.
Hands on experience navigating the intricacies of US Forest Service planning.
Deep familiarity with federal land management guidelines and NEPA analysis for natural resources.
Proven ability to evaluate environmental impacts on sensitive habitats and federal properties.
