Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and finance teams to design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions.
- Apply your accounting knowledge to build and maintain financial reconciliation systems, reporting tools, and transaction processing logic.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across various parts of our platform.
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Help identify and implement improvements to our financial infrastructure and data integrity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Junior Software Engineer or in a similar development role.
- A strong foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger operations.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go) and familiarity with web technologies.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing complex SQL queries.
- Comfortable working with version control systems, particularly Git.
- A high degree of intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence (high IQ, high EQ), enabling effective problem-solving and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
