Overview

As a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and automating data reporting solutions. Your work will directly support both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making across Dane Street. You'll focus on crafting scalable dashboards within AWS QuickSight and optimizing our reporting processes utilizing Redshift. This position involves close collaboration with various cross-functional teams to deeply understand their data requirements, ensure the highest levels of accuracy, and deliver insights that inspire action. Additionally, you will maintain meticulous documentation, support team training initiatives, and continuously identify opportunities to enhance our analytics workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Automated Reporting and Dashboarding: Design, build, and maintain compelling, automated dashboards using AWS QuickSight.
Data Solution Development: Develop scalable reporting solutions and optimize existing processes within our Redshift data warehouse environment.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with various internal teams to understand their unique data needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Data Integrity and Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data reports and dashboards, maintaining data quality as a top priority.
Actionable Insight Delivery: Transform complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Documentation and Training: Create and maintain clear documentation for all reporting solutions and provide support for team training on new tools and processes.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend improvements for analytics workflows, tools, and data presentation methods.

Requirements

We are seeking someone with a strong passion for data and a foundational understanding of business intelligence principles.

Proven experience or strong academic background in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
Familiarity with or eagerness to learn AWS QuickSight for dashboard development.
Basic understanding of SQL and data warehousing concepts, with exposure to Redshift being a significant plus.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
