Join DecisionPoint Corporation as a Java Backend Developer, playing a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, inviting skilled professionals from across the globe to contribute their expertise. In this position, you will focus primarily on the development, enhancement, and sustainment of sophisticated Java-based backend applications and services. These systems are absolutely essential, powering mission-critical transportation and logistics operations with precision and reliability. We leverage modern Java frameworks, especially Spring Boot, to build resilient and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop robust backend services, APIs, and complex application components using Java and modern Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
Collaborate across the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment.
Implement new capabilities and system enhancements to improve functionality and performance.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve defects efficiently, ensuring system stability.
Support system integration, thorough testing, and seamless deployment processes.
Actively participate in an Agile/DevSecOps environment, contributing to continuous improvement and delivery.
Troubleshoot intricate application and integration issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

Requirements

Proven mid-level experience as a Software Developer with a strong emphasis on Java backend development.
Demonstrable hands-on experience building and supporting RESTful services and large-scale enterprise applications.
Proficiency with modern Java frameworks, particularly Spring Boot.
Solid understanding and practical experience within an Agile/DevSecOps development environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex application and integration challenges.
While not a primary focus, any exposure to front-end technologies such as Angular would be considered beneficial.
