Overview

As our Senior IT Technical Training Lead, you will direct comprehensive technical workforce assessments, strategic training planning, and curriculum alignment initiatives. Your expertise will drive proficiency improvement across the USMEPCOM ENLIST program. This pivotal role involves leading the development and ongoing maintenance of our robust Skills and Proficiency Matrix, crafting tailored role-based learning paths, coordinating efficient training schedules, and establishing measurable objectives for workforce development. You will ensure all training efforts align seamlessly with enterprise modernization goals, upcoming system releases, critical migrations, immediate operational priorities, and our long-term future state technology requirements. Close collaboration is essential; you will partner with Government stakeholders, technical leaders, subject matter experts, external training providers, and program leadership. Your ultimate goal is to equip USMEPCOM IT personnel with the skills and confidence needed to expertly operate and support our complex enterprise systems. Training delivery will be versatile, incorporating virtual sessions, traditional classroom instruction, hands-on side-by-side coaching, pair programming, and other practical formats best suited to the technical subject matter and our diverse learner population. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive technical workforce assessments to identify skill gaps and development needs.
Direct the strategic planning and execution of all technical training programs for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive Skills and Proficiency Matrix that clearly outlines required competencies for various IT roles.
Design and implement role-based learning paths, providing clear progression and skill acquisition frameworks.
Coordinate and manage all technical training schedules, ensuring optimal resource utilization and timely delivery.
Establish and track measurable workforce development objectives, demonstrating the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives.
Align training strategies with evolving enterprise modernization efforts, new system releases, and critical system migrations.
Ensure training programs support current operational priorities and anticipate future state technology requirements.
Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with Government stakeholders, technical leaders, and subject matter experts.
Engage with external training providers to leverage specialized expertise and resources as needed.
Ensure USMEPCOM IT personnel are proficient and confident in operating and supporting enterprise systems.
Oversee the delivery of training through various engaging formats, including virtual, classroom, side-by-side, and practical application methods.

Requirements

Extensive experience in a senior leadership role focused on IT technical training and workforce development.
Proven ability to direct technical workforce assessments, training planning, and curriculum alignment in a large enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining a Skills and Proficiency Matrix and crafting role-based learning paths.
Strong understanding of how to align training with enterprise modernization, system releases, migrations, and operational priorities.
Exceptional coordination and communication skills, with a track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Experience coordinating with Government stakeholders, technical leaders, subject matter experts, and external training providers.
Proficiency in designing and implementing various training delivery methods, including virtual, classroom, and hands-on approaches.
A solid understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, enabling effective technical training program design.
Ability to establish and track measurable workforce development objectives.
Experience working with or within a government program (USMEPCOM or similar) is highly desirable.
