We are looking for an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead our Americas field engineering team. In this role, you will guide talented professionals through presales and professional services, helping world class companies architect and deliver groundbreaking IoT solutions. You will work remotely while collaborating closely with a distributed team that spans multiple time zones, meeting up a few times a year in fascinating global locations to align our strategy.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead, mentor, and grow a regionally focused team of field engineers who specialize in Internet of Things technologies. Your days will involve driving technical sales, reviewing complex solution designs, and ensuring successful delivery for enterprise customers. You will partner with sales leaders to identify new opportunities and remove technical roadblocks. Building strong relationships with silicon and cloud providers will also form a core part of your daily mission, positioning Ubuntu as the default operating system for connected devices.

Requirements

Success in this position requires a strong background in software engineering, embedded Linux, and Internet of Things architectures. You should bring proven experience leading technical teams, particularly in a customer facing or presales capacity. Excellent communication skills are essential since you will negotiate with enterprise stakeholders and rally a distributed workforce. A deep understanding of open source business models and cloud native technologies will help you hit the ground running from day one.
