Overview

name is at the forefront of the clean energy revolution, developing and operating a rapidly expanding fleet of renewable energy projects. We are seeking an Interconnection Manager to join our growing Transmission Department. This vital, fully remote position allows talented professionals from anywhere in the world to contribute to our mission. You will report directly to the Sr. VP, Transmission and work closely within a dedicated team of Interconnection Managers. Your main goal will be to manage the complex transmission interconnection requests across multiple ISOs for name's diverse project portfolio. This is a brand new role, created to expand our interconnection process team and support our ambitious pipeline growth, offering a unique opportunity to shape our future processes.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively manage transmission interconnection requests for name's fleet of projects across various Independent System Operators (ISOs).
Collaborate closely with a small, focused team of Interconnection Managers to streamline processes and share best practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert in power system planning and interconnection processes, guiding projects from inception through completion.
Utilize strong technical acumen to analyze system impacts and propose effective solutions.
Lead project management efforts for interconnection initiatives, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Engage in strategic negotiations with external entities, advocating for name's project interests.
Communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Contribute to the continuous improvement and scaling of name's interconnection process team and capabilities.

Requirements

An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
At least 3 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering.
A minimum of 2 years of proven experience specifically managing interconnection projects.
Demonstrated strong technical skills, particularly in power systems and grid integration.
Exceptional project management abilities, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
Proficient negotiation skills, adept at achieving favorable results for complex agreements.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative remote work environment.
