Overview
Accenture is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Cost Manager to join our dynamic Infrastructure & Capital Projects team. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking heavy civil and data center projects from wherever you are. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial prudence, optimizing value, and driving efficiency across some of the world's most ambitious construction initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and management of robust cost control systems and processes for large-scale heavy civil and data center projects.
- Conduct detailed cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform thorough value engineering and cost optimization analyses to identify savings opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
- Manage project financial risks, developing mitigation strategies and providing proactive advice to project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and clients to ensure alignment on cost objectives and performance.
- Utilize advanced data analytics, digital tools, and AI-driven insights to enhance cost accuracy, predictability, and efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting financial performance, variances, and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Accenture's cost management methodologies and best practices, integrating new technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or project controls, with a significant focus on large-scale heavy civil infrastructure and data center construction projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in all phases of project cost management, from concept and feasibility through to closeout.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency with industry-standard cost management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing outcomes across diverse teams and client environments.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS, AACE) are a plus.
