We are looking for a hands-on Information Systems Security Engineer to jump right into a critical U.S. Navy program. Forget about pushing paper or drafting endless strategy decks. This role is all about the actual engineering work. You will dive deep into Linux servers, virtualization setups, and network infrastructure to build rock-solid security postures. Key Responsibilities

Execute hands-on security engineering tasks to support Navy RMF and ATO requirements.
Implement and validate technical security controls across servers, virtualization, network, and logging environments.
Harden systems against emerging threats and remediate vulnerabilities rapidly.
Collaborate daily with system administrators and network engineers to fix security gaps with real technical solutions.
Troubleshoot, validate, and maintain day-to-day security engineering operations without getting bogged down in administrative red tape.

Requirements

Proven background in information systems security engineering with a heavy technical focus.
Strong working knowledge of Linux servers, virtualization infrastructure, and network environments.
Direct experience handling the Risk Management Framework and driving systems toward an Authority to Operate.
Ability to interpret security controls and apply practical, hands-on fixes rather than just writing reports about them.
