Overview

As our Information Security Director, you will serve as the organization's senior executive responsible for the complete lifecycle of our information security program. This encompasses defining and driving our security architecture, overseeing robust incident response and risk management frameworks, and establishing firm security policies. You will manage the security budget and cultivate a strong culture of security awareness across all departments. This role demands a unique balance of communicating strategic risk to executive leadership while also possessing the technical depth to guide critical decisions in areas like security design, identity and access management, comprehensive data protection, and advanced threat monitoring through SIEM and SOC operations. You will foster strong partnerships with IT leadership, legal, compliance, and various business units, ensuring security is an enabler of our organizational goals, not an impediment. Key Responsibilities

Own the organization's comprehensive security posture, including effective threat detection mechanisms, swift incident response protocols, continuous vulnerability management, and robust endpoint and identity protection solutions.
Direct all security monitoring and incident investigation activities, which involve EDR and SIEM alert triage, proactive threat hunting, and thorough formal incident reporting.
Lead and coordinate the organization's response to active security threats, minimizing impact and ensuring rapid recovery.
Develop and implement a clear information security strategy that aligns with business objectives and evolving threat landscapes.
Oversee the design and implementation of security architectures that protect our critical assets and data.
Establish and enforce organizational security policies, standards, and guidelines.
Manage the information security budget and resources effectively.
Build and champion a strong culture of security awareness and best practices across the entire organization.
Regularly report on the organization's security posture and risk profile to executive leadership and the board.

Requirements

Extensive proven experience in information security leadership, preferably in a senior director or equivalent executive role.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive information security program.
Deep understanding of security architecture principles, incident response methodologies, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in areas such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, data encryption, and network security.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex technical information into business terms for various audiences, including executive leadership.
Proven track record of building and leading high-performing security teams.
Ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and optimize security investments.
