Overview
As an Information Assurance and Security, Lead Associate at Peraton, you will be a cornerstone in safeguarding vital information and network systems for both internal teams and external customers. This is a fully remote role, open to talent globally, where you will apply your in-depth knowledge to enhance our security posture across diverse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical and programmatic information assurance services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems.
- Designing, developing, and implementing security requirements within an organization’s business processes.
- Preparing comprehensive documentation from information obtained from customers, adhering to accepted guidelines.
- Crafting security test and evaluation plans to ensure system resilience.
- Offering crucial certification and accreditation support, including developing security and contingency plans.
- Conducting complex risk and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses.
- Analyzing policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations, then providing actionable recommendations for closing any gaps.
- Recommending system enhancements that will improve security deficiencies.
- Developing, testing, and integrating advanced computer and network security tools.
- Securing system configurations and installing security tools, then diligently scanning systems to determine compliance and report results.
Requirements
- A proven track record in information assurance and network security, particularly in design, development, and implementation roles.
- Demonstrated experience with security test and evaluation plan preparation.
- Strong background in providing certification and accreditation support.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive risk and vulnerability assessments.
- Familiarity with analyzing policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations.
- Expertise in developing, testing, and integrating various computer and network security tools.
- A solid understanding of securing system configurations and scanning for compliance.
- Exceptional writing, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills are essential for collaborating with diverse teams and clients.
