Overview: Your Gateway to UX

UX Woman proudly sponsors two remote UX apprentices annually, welcoming talent from any corner of the globe. This intensive seven-month program, offered in either the fall or spring seasons, is entirely free of charge. You will embark on a transformative journey, meticulously working through the entire end-to-end UX design and UX research process. The best part? You get to choose a startup idea that truly excites you, allowing you to build a portfolio piece directly relevant to industries and topics that will catch the eye of future hiring managers. We are deeply committed to fostering diversity in tech, actively supporting women, immigrants, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals in breaking into and excelling in six-figure UX roles.

Key Responsibilities

As a UX Woman Apprentice, you will:

Drive a Startup Idea: Select a compelling startup concept and take ownership of its UX journey from inception to a polished design solution.
Conduct Thorough Research: Engage in comprehensive UX research activities, uncovering user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
Design End-to-End Solutions: Apply your design expertise to craft intuitive and engaging user experiences, spanning information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
Commit to Growth: Dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per week to program deliverables, ensuring consistent progress and learning.
Actively Participate: Attend vital 2-3 hour weekend sessions, engaging with mentors and fellow apprentices.
