You will work inside an advanced cloud platform using Python, SQL, and PySpark to handle everything from raw EHR feeds to polished analytical datasets. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and fine-tune scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python pandas, and PySpark within Azure Synapse.
Manage the complete data lifecycle starting from raw ingestion all the way to final dataset delivery and validation.
Work extensively with complex healthcare data formats including EHR feeds, HL7 v2, and FHIR standards.
Perform meticulous data quality checks, troubleshoot join logic issues, and maintain rigorous documentation.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support exploratory data analysis and craft derived datasets for downstream analytics.

Requirements

Proven professional experience working as a Data Scientist or Data Engineer, preferably within the healthcare sector.
Strong command of SQL, Python, and PySpark for heavy data manipulation and pipeline development.
Hands-on familiarity with cloud data environments, specifically Azure Synapse or similar modern data platforms.
Deep working knowledge of healthcare terminology, source-to-target mapping, and interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR.
An independent, proactive mindset with exceptional debugging skills and a passion for data integrity.
