Job Purpose
The Head of Solar Engineering will take full ownership of the company's solar engineering activities. This includes overseeing everything from system design and installation to commissioning, maintenance, technical support, and end-to-end project execution. The ideal candidate will guarantee top-tier quality, stringent safety compliance, optimal efficiency, and ultimate client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, and mentor a talented team of solar engineers, technicians, and installers. Assign tasks, supervise project execution, and foster a culture of continuous learning and safety compliance.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve complex system designs and technical proposals. Conduct thorough site inspections and feasibility studies for high-impact projects.
- Project Execution & Quality Control: Oversee solar PV installations, rigorously test and commission systems, and manage both preventive and corrective maintenance operations to ensure peak performance.
- Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Develop comprehensive project plans, realistic budgets, and tight schedules while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Sales team to design client-centric solutions, present technical proposals during client meetings, and ensure robust client training post-installation.
- Innovation & Reporting: Advise executive management on emerging solar technologies, market trends, and product improvements while delivering consistent progress reports to the Managing Director.
