Shipping giant boxes of toilet paper around the world sounds straightforward until you realize the sheer physics and carbon footprint involved. At Who Gives A Crap, getting sustainable rolls onto doorsteps across four continents is both our biggest operational puzzle and our greatest chance to protect the planet. We are looking for a thoughtful, driven leader to step up as our Head of Global Logistics. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity where your supply chain decisions directly fund clean water access and make ethical shopping simple for millions of people.
Overview
Who Gives A Crap is a fast-growing brand on a mission to bring sanitation and clean toilets to everyone who needs them. We donate half of our profits to international water and hygiene programs, having already contributed over 20 million AUD. Behind our playful brand sits a serious global supply chain spanning the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and Canada. As our Head of Global Logistics, you will build and steer a lean, planet-friendly shipping network capable of scaling tenfold over the coming decade. You can work from anywhere in the world while collaborating with our distributed team.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will shape how our physical products move from manufacturing partners to fulfillment centers and straight to customer doorsteps across the globe. You will take ownership of the following core areas.
- Architect and manage our international freight, warehousing, and parcel delivery networks to balance delivery speed, cost, and carbon reduction.
- Negotiate favorable terms and cultivate strong partnerships with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and local couriers.
- Uncover practical opportunities to optimize packaging density, reduce transport emissions, and meet ambitious sustainability benchmarks.
- Collaborate with finance, demand planning, and customer service teams to forecast capacity and resolve operational bottlenecks quickly.
- Build resilient inventory routing systems that prevent stockouts during sudden growth periods and seasonal peaks.
- Lead and mentor a talented logistics team spread across multiple continents and time zones.
Requirements
We are seeking someone with end-to-end supply chain mastery who enjoys turning chaotic physical operations into smooth, repeatable engines. Ideal candidates bring along these experiences and skills.
- Extensive background leading complex logistics, distribution, or freight networks within high-growth consumer goods or e-commerce businesses.
- Proven track record of cutting carbon output and freight expenses simultaneously through smart routing and packaging initiatives.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills when evaluating warehouse contracts, freight rates, and service agreements.
- Clear communication skills suited for an asynchronous, remote-first global working environment.
- Sharp analytical skills with the ability to turn messy shipping data into actionable inventory decisions.
What You'll Gain
Joining us means doing work that actively changes human lives every single day. Here is a look at what this journey offers you.
- True remote work freedom to base yourself anywhere across the globe with flexible working hours.
- The satisfaction of knowing your operational cost savings directly increase donations to life-saving sanitation initiatives.
- A warm, down-to-earth team culture where people care deeply about the work and each other.
- Generous paid time off, dedicated personal development stipends, and free products.
- A critical seat at the strategy table during our most ambitious international expansion phase yet.
