Overview

Wing is seeking a Head of Business Operations to join our dynamic Strategy, Business Operations, and Analytics team. This is a fully remote role, open to exceptional talent worldwide, making your home office your global base of operations. In this pivotal position, you will spearhead the Business Operations function, establishing the gold standard for operational excellence and robust execution across our global endeavors. You will play a crucial part in evolving our operational strategies, ensuring our innovative delivery solutions are not only groundbreaking but also reliably delivered and scaled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operational Leadership: Define and implement Wing's operational strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market expansion initiatives.
Process Optimization and Efficiency: Identify, design, and implement best-in-class operational processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery across all functions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, product, strategy, finance, and flight operations teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
Performance Management: Establish key operational metrics, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and achieve ambitious targets.
Team Building and Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Business Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Scalability and Growth: Develop and execute operational plans that support Wing's rapid expansion into new markets and scale existing operations effectively.

Requirements

Extensive Operational Leadership: Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in business operations leadership roles, preferably within a fast-paced technology, logistics, or highly innovative company.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and optimizing operational functions from the ground up or through significant transformation.
Strategic Acumen: Ability to think strategically about complex operational challenges and translate vision into actionable, impactful plans.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a strong ability to solve complex problems.
Exceptional Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Global Perspective: Experience managing operations or teams across diverse geographical regions is a significant plus.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is highly desirable.
