Overview

Next Chapter Technology has spent fifteen years building trusted content and workflow management tools used by county-level Health and Human Services agencies nationwide. As our Head of AI Engineering, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and guide our technical roadmap from concept to deployment. You will collaborate with talented engineers, product managers, and leadership across the Banyan Software network to integrate machine learning and modern language models into our core products. This is a chance to shape the technological trajectory of a mature, growing company with a deeply meaningful mission.

Key Responsibilities

Design, architect, and deploy robust artificial intelligence features embedded directly into the CaseWorks ecosystem.
Partner with executive leadership to define the overarching intelligence roadmap and align technical priorities with business goals.
Lead a team of engineers through the full development lifecycle of machine learning models and data pipelines.
Ensure all technical implementations meet strict government compliance, privacy, and security standards.
Mentor engineering staff and foster a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Applicants must reside within the United States and meet all federal-adjacent compliance eligibility guidelines. You should bring a proven track record of leading engineering teams and successfully shipping production-grade artificial intelligence solutions. Deep expertise in modern machine learning frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture is essential.
